My artistic approach lies in the balance of subtlety and playfulness. My favorite experience as a viewer is seeing something that is seemingly familiar being told with a new edge or unexpected perspective - à la Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth who said “The radical is far more interesting when it looks benign and ordinary on the outside.” With this mentality, my goal is to empower the viewer to engage with whatever is in front of them, and I’m energized by finding the most concise ways to convey ideas and stories.
